Station Owners compete to impress visitors with distinctive and
appealing visual elements. Background images are one of those visual
elements that when designed properly, can create an amazing atmosphere
and convey the style the designer has chosen.
In this post you will see how station owners carefully created websites
to achieve their goals in engaging their listeners and facilitating the
design elements and content.
977
Music
http://www.977music.com/
Recently
redesigned late last year (2010), 977 Music has been #1 on the
SHOUTcast radio list, not only for its quality music, but for its
outstanding design. The website features blogs, music, fun games and
mobile apps for ease of access.
Distortion
Radio
http://www.distortionradio.com/
Distortion Radio has been around since 2007, but it has now developed
in to an inspiring station. Our own staff member, Jon DJ's here along
with many others. But teh website is what draws me, the dark
"distorted" colors, the interactivity and the community support is
truly inspiring.
QMR
Fm
http://www.qmr.fm/
From one of our own members in our Forums, QMR Fm went through a
redesign a few years back, and today it stays the same but with
consistant refreshed content! The site is simple to navigate and is jam
packed with fun stuff!
Alternative
HD
http://alternativehd.com/
This is a nice simple design, it really is built and designed around
user features such as currently playing songs and community activity.
The shoutbox overflows with user participation and the station itself
is simply awesome!
If you have an inpiring station website design to share, post it in oru
comments and help out other fellow broadcasters in designing and
building their website!
