We Love IE9

IE9 was released officially last week from Microsoft, its a brand new redesigned platform that is useful for not only developers like me (James), but it is also useful for the consumers!

You are probably thinking "why?". IE9 has a new feature called Jumplists, this feature is GREAT as it means you can be even closer with websites such as us! We have just released those features on to Broadcasting World for everyone to enjoy!

First of all, we have included Jumplists. What on earth are they? Well, in Windows 7 you can right click on certain programs on your taskbar and you can see lists of quick-start options. We have now enabled those for Broadcasting World.

E
nable Jumplists On Broadcasting World:
  1. Open up Internet Explorer 9 and navigate to http://www.broadcastingworld.net.
  2. Drag our icon in the address bar down to your taskbar (Next to the start button).
  3. You should now see our icon on your taskbar, this is a quick and easy way to open up broadcasting World from any place in Windows 7.
  4. Right click on our icon in the taskbar and you will see a few options for Forums, News, Reviews, Stations and Talents. Also we have included handy links to our Facebook and Twitter.
Simple! I found it really useful installing it on the computer in my studio, as i can easily navigate to the forums with a few clicks without opening my browser! We are also experimenting with HTML5 Video, we will let you know when that is up and running.

Enjoy these cool new features and stay tuned! Post some more suggestions/comments below and let us know what you think!
